Persimmon Brandy
Every November, Hachiya Persimmons explode onto the Santa Monica Farmers Market. This sweet and custard-like fruit, with flavors of brown sugar, cinnamon, mango and apricot, makes a wonderful contribution to my seasonal cocktails. The challenge is that the season is only three weeks long. So, looking for a way to share their magic year round, I have teamed up with Murray Family Farms and The Spirit Guild to create this very special brandy, the first made entirely from organic Hachiya Persimmons.
